Once you've created your account, you're ready to start creating your first note.
Begin your encounter
Tap the red button to start listening to the patient encounter.
If this is your first time running Ambient Scribe, grant access to your microphone by tapping Allow
.
Once microphone access has been granted, the encounter will begin.

Listening during your encounter
During your encounter, the conversation is transcribed in real-time. This is to give you confidence that your conversation is being heard. Any typos that you see during the live view are corrected in the final transcript and do not impact the clinical documentation.
Pause your encounter
You can pause your encounter at any point in time by pressing Pause. When paused, Ambient Scribe turns yellow to indicate that it's no longer recording. To resume your encounter, press Resume .
End your encounter
Click End Encounter
to stop capturing the conversation. You'll be prompted to confirm if you're ready to create a note. At this point, you can also select a template for your note. Set your default note template anytime from the Settings menu.
Next, the note will then start to generate, and you'll soon see the text appear as the note is written.
Review your note
Once your note is created, you can review your note. You'll see three sections:
Note
: contains the generated noteInstructions
: contains instructions written in appropriate language for the patientTranscript
: contains the raw transcript of the conversation
If you need to edit the text, you can either copy and paste the text into your EHR and edit there. Or, you can log in to Ambient Scribe on the web and edit the notes there.
Copy the note text
Click either Copy note
to capture the generate note or Copy
to copy information from the currently selected tab. Then, you can paste the text into your EHR or desired location.
